Vintage Racing
XKs Unlimited has been involved in restoring and racing all makes of British cars: Sprites, Lotus, Morgan, Austin Healey, Marcos, TVR, MG, etc. We have restored several Austin Healeys for vintage racing and rallye tours.
This recent project car is a new production 289 FIA Shelby Cobra, chassis number CSX7014.
When we build an engine, whether for street use , show, or vintage racing; it will not only perform well, but look terrific too. We have performance upgrades for Jaguar V-12 engines as well.
One of our previous track cars is this XK-120 built as a replica of the factory's LT-1. This alloy bodied race car was the 1996 VARA CP Class Champion. XKs Unlimited is ready to assist in your vintage race project, give us a call.
You never know, until you put a car on the track, exactly how it will perform. This Morgan +4 performed well. The probability of a car performing well at the track is not assured by the work done at the shop prior to taking it to the track, but the chances increase greatly if all foreseeable circumstances are taken into consideration. That is what vintage race preparation is about at XKs Unlimited.
XKs Unlimited's Series I E-Type vintage racer is show above at the Monterey Historic Races in tight quarters.
When we built this track ready 427 Cobra we had specific goals. Building a competive, relaible vintage racer is our mission. Sorting and adjusting the car for optimum perfomance is a must.
A great deal of effort is put into a successful race car, but the rewards are indescribable. Pictured above, our E-Type in full acceleration at the Monterey Historic Races.
Whether your plans are for vintage racing, classic rallye tours, or just a fun, fast and reliable street car we have the experience and technology to build the car you want. We offer one of the largest selections of performance parts for classic Jaguars anywhere in the world.
We have been tuning and racing Jaguars for thirty-plus years. We raced E-Types in SCCA before there was "Vintage Racing"! Many of the upgrades you see in our catalogs were developed over years of trying to improve the marque; examples include: racing brakes, sport suspension packages, five-speed gearboxes, performance engines, improved cooling, and much more.
The Kevlar Bonnet and aluminum rear wing extensions are two of the more evident modifications we made to our E-Type racer. Making a car track-ready is really just the beginning. Once the car is taken to the track it must be sorted out, a process requiring patience and experience.
From time to time the XKs Unlimited racing efforts are highlighted in the press. The article attached appeared in a recent issue of Victory Lane Magazine,

XKs Unlimited has a long history racing Jaguars at many levels in many series. This GT-1 E-type was campaigned in the early 70's by XKs Unlimited. Driven by Jason Len, the car was competitive, shown here at Laguna Seca Raceway in SCCA trim for the period.
